The Story of the Blood Eagle

Do you know a man called the Blood Eagle?
Once he was a sin-stained prisoner.
But through penance of severing his ribs from the spine, he deeply repented his sin,
and the miracle chose him.

The riven ribs, the sign of his repentance and evidence of punishment, became sacred wings.
The people called him the Blood Eagle leading the battles.

We are severing ribs from the prisoners to this day,
in a belief that the hero following him will appear some day.
